Big News: Our New Church Building

December 2, 2011

We are very grateful to God to announce that our new church building has passed all of the inspections! That means we will have our first worship service in the new building this Sunday, December 4th, at 11am.

We will be moving furniture this afternoon and evening, and will be tomorrow beginning at 9am. There is a lot to do in order to be ready for Sunday, so if you are able to come and help, we would be very grateful. Childcare will be provided in the new nursery area tomorrow morning from 9am-Noon.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the location of the new building, it is located at 1115 East Hwy. 80 in Pooler, about 1.5 miles East of our current location. When you arrive on Sunday, please be sure to allow our guests to part in the front parking lot. Additional parking is available behind the building, as well as in the shopping center adjacent to the building.

In addition to being in our new building, there are three special things to be aware of this Sunday. First, on Sunday Morning at 10am we will begin a new Adult Sunday School class entitled, “Great Doctrines of Christmas.” Second, in Morning Worship we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper. And third, on Sunday Evening at 6pm we will have our monthly Fellowship Meal and will hear a report from the Fender’s ministry trip to England. We hope you will make plans to take advantage of these unique opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and encouragement!

Thank you for your faithful support of the ministry of First Presbyterian Church, particularly for your patience and prayers regarding our new building. We look forward to seeing you and worshipping God together with you on Sunday!
